Week Nine - Day Five: End of Day
Use The Lord’s Prayer again as a model for our day-end reflection. Spend 2 or 3 minutes on each stanza.
Matthew 6:9-13
- “‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,- Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.- Give us today our daily bread.
- And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.- And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
- Praise God as “holy” and as one who is in such an intimate relationship with you as to be called “Father”.
- Pray for God’s will to be done through, in and around you and for His sovereign control to be exercised over all things. You may offer up some specific things that concern you here to His control and to His will.
- Ask for your needs for tomorrow.
- Offer up any grievances you have and pray that those situations or people will be blessed. Forgive them. Then confess your own sin and ask for forgiveness.
- Pray for protection and deliverance from spiritually evil forces around you. We have an enemy who means us harm.
Lights out!
