Week Twelve-Day Four: End of Day
In light of this morning’s exercise, it’s interesting that author of Hebrews says this about Jesus: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”[1] The implications for what this says about Jesus are profound, don’t you think?
- Spend a moment rehearsing Isaiah 26:3.“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.”
- Now spend a moment rehearsing Ephesians 2:8-10.“8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
- End your day by praying this: “Guide us waking, O Lord, and guard us sleeping; that awake we may watch with Christ, and asleep we may rest in peace.”
- Lights out!
