Week Twenty Six - Day Three: End of Day

Let’s use The Lord’s Prayer as a model for our day-end reflection tonight.  Spend 2 or 3 minutes on each stanza.

1.   “‘Our Father in heaven,
       hallowed be your name,

2.     Your kingdom come,
       your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.

3.     Give us today our daily bread.

4.     And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.

5.     And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’

       Matthew 6:9-13

1.     Praise God as “holy” and as one who is in such an intimate LOVING relationship with you that you can
        call Him “Father”.
2.     Pray for God’s will to be done through, in and around you and for His sovereign control to be exercised
over all things.  You may offer up some specific things that concern you here to His control and to His will.
3.     Ask for your needs for tomorrow.  Place yourself here in complete dependence on the ONE who loves
        you.
4.     Offer up any grievances you have and pray that those situations or people will be blessed.  Forgive
them. Then confess your own sin and ask for forgiveness.  Remember that God gladly forgives because
His love is tenacious.  You sin cannot lessen His love for you.
5.     Pray for protection and deliverance from spiritually evil forces around you.  We have an enemy who
        means us harm.

Lights out!
