Four Truths

1. God is sovereign

  • Isaiah 46:9-10
  • Psalm 135:5-7
  • Daniel 4:34-35
  • Psalm 24:1
  • Proverbs 21:1

Remember: Our control is secondary and limited

2. God calls you and you must respond

  • That's how connection to God works.

3. God prepares you for what He calls you to do.

  • When God shows you more of Himself, it is often in the context of giving you an assignment.

4. God uses damaged goods

  • Moses was a murderer and was probably very shy

What about Jesus?

In John 8:48-58, Jesus directly claimed to be God. He said that He is the "I Am."

  • Can you look back and see how God has prepared you for today?s calling? How?

4. God uses damaged goods

  • Are you using any excuses to God for why He can?t use you? What are they?
