Manna from Heaven

The Jesus Thing: Through the Moses Lens

mp3

This week Randy spoke on how Jesus is the bread of life from John 6:35ff, which comes from the Exodus 16, Manna from heaven.

We looked at the original story of the Manna in which the Israelites grumbled and did not trust God to provide for them. God tested the Israelites by providing for them bread which they did not have to work for but was graciously provided for them. They did not trust God and disobeyed, and God still provided for them.

It then turned to John 6 where the people after being feed from five loves and two fish complain that Jesus isn?t providing often enough. Jesus explains that He is the provision for their souls. They complain and want Jesus to prove Himself with more miracles and He continues to provide for their souls.

What about You? Do you trust Him or are you grumbling and complaining? God is able to meet your needs, for now and eternity. Jesus is the bread of life.
