“... If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free...”

Categories of Lies
- Lies against the character of God.
- Lies against who you are in Christ.
- Lies promoting sin.
Romans 12:1-3
The answer to the problem
- Identify the area(s) of bondage
- Identify the lie(s) at the root of that bondage or behavior
- Replace the lie(s) with the Truth
Small Group Questions
This week we talked about knowing the Truth and how knowing the Truth will set you transform you with freedom.
Scriptures John 8:31-38, Romans 12:1-3, and Genesis 3:1-12
Icebreaker: What was a lie you told as a kid?
Worship: Sing or pray or pray back to God Psalm 51.
Edification:
- How will knowing the Truth set someone free?
- Where in your life have you replaced a lie with the Truth and found freedom?
- What area of lies are you most susceptible too?
- Lies about the character of God,
- Lies about who you are in Christ,
- Lies about the outcome of sin?
- What is an area you struggle with, can you identify a lie that leads to that struggle?
- Can you identify a Truth that will replace that lie?
- What can we do a group to help you/us with these truths?
Vision Time:
Talk about couples that you could invite to the marriage event in January. Pray for the couples that they would come and understand the importance of having Christ in their marriage.
