- Read Isaiah 44, what is the point of the passage?
- How does a person make an idol? Not just physically but mentally?
- In Northern Virginia, what do people make into idols?
- What have you made an idol in the past?
- What things right now are trying to be “king of the hill” of your heart? For example: Areas of compromise, areas of sin, areas of extremes
- What would your spouse or good friend say competes for your heart?
- How could you “return to God” this week?

Finish planning summer BBQ outreaches and pray for the friends you are going to invite.

Day Three: Read 1 Samuel 5-7, what is the point of the story? What does God reveal about Himself? How does God’s power show itself? Why do you think the priest of Dagon continued to serve Dagon? What do we serve even though we know it does not compare to God? How do we return to God?
