Read Luke 10:1-4, 17-18
- Do you enjoy being in the spotlight? Why or Why not?
- Why does God place an emphasis on humility through the Christmas story and also in our lives?
- On a scale of 1 (living without humility which means anxious, worried, doubtful, etc) to 10 (living with humility which means peaceful and calm) where are you? Why is this a hard concept or an easy concept for you to live out?
- When Jesus sent the disciples out like "lambs among the wolves" he indicated that they would have to be careful because they were sure to meet with opposition. What opposition do we face today as followers of Christ?
- When the disciples returned to Jesus, they were excited about the work they had done in Jesus' name. Jesus cautioned them to rejoice for the right reason and that is because "your names are written in heaven." Share a time that God used you to impact his kingdom and how that made you feel.
- Where are you seeing God work in your life? What challenges is God helping you work through? Are you looking forward to this Christmas season, why or why not?
